Unarguably, the best part of Christmas is being with family. This holiday, we were privileged to spend Christmas with my family in Kansas - a twelve hour drive without stops or children. Haha! Here's Abi right before we started the trek:

Christmas Eve was a fun event of games and a few gifts from grandparents and great-grandparents.
The next three pictures are of the kids with their Beanie Babies given to them from their great-grandparents. Isn't it wonderful to have great-grandparents??

The babies were old enough to tear off their own wrapping paper although I'm not sure they understood the excitement of something hiding inside the paper. I think it was just a fun game of tearing paper. Something to look forward to next year!

It was so nice to have everyone together for the holiday! Jenny just got back from her 18-month mission to California. We sure missed her and love that she's back in our lives!

Christmas morning was fun and a bit crazy. I remember as a kid how the room seemed to fill up with wrapping paper to the point that you couldn't walk anywhere and that is Christmas to me! Haha! Now as an adult, that causes a bit of anxiety but it was still a blast!

These girls had a blast together! But why does Abi look so young in this picture now??? This was just eight months ago!

Granddad has a great woodshop with a few tools that he lets the grandkids play with while the men all tinker around building things. Mostly, the grandkids just hammer open peanuts, drink soda, and vacuum sawdust. But honestly, isn't that what memories are made of??
