"Wherefore, be of good cheer, and do not fear, for I the Lord am with you, and will stand by you; and ye shall bear record of me, even Jesus Christ, that I am the Son of the living God, that I was, that I am, and that I am to come."

Grandparents visit

October 2018

This is adorable to me! A room full of kids and kid paraphernalia enjoying the freedom of childhood.
Watching a show

Twins are so much fun sometimes.
Breathe in...

James's parents and younger brothers came to visit us for a few days. They came at this point so we could all go to Houston and see a Josh Groban concert which was so fun! We left our kiddos with a good friend here in San Antonio and spent a night in Houston with the family. The concert was so good (loud though, why are they always SO LOUD??) and having a night "off" was glorious!

We had a blast showing them around. We went to eat at Rain Forest Cafe which we thought the kids would love. The waiter sat us right in front of an anima-tronic gorilla which growled and moved every 15 minutes. Abigail and Hyrum loved it but poor Audrianne endured the scariest evening of her life. Haha! Poor thing. Every time it went off she immediately shut down. The first few times, she started crying and sobbing and wailing. It took at least five minutes to calm her down. She would just be getting comfortable and forgetting that the animals existed and they would start again. By the last few times, she didn't cry but she did go completely stiff and lower her face down into her plate of food where she just stayed until the animals quit moving. It was the most hilarious thing to watch. She honestly just played dead, face in food. Good grief! It will make for a great story her whole life.
Scariest evening of her life

Abi loved the volcano brownie we got!
But it ended well

Another day, we went with them to the Japanese Tea Garden which was beautiful and free and we had not been there yet so it was nice to do something new to us as well. Our kids have no fear sometimes so my anxiety was a little high on this adventure as you can see, Audrianne was way far away headed up and across a bridge before we finished taking this picture. Haha! It's a wonder we didn't lose a kid to the Koi pond.
Quick shot before we lost one

They love fish!

Beautiful day at the Japanese Tea Garden

This sweet girl has been setting her stuffies up at the table with her like they're all having a tea party. Unfortunately, we don't have a tea set but she still looks adorable. She reminds me of Sid's sister in Toy Story.
Audrianne and her friends

This is one of the few pictures we got with the family. We played the game Clue and holy cow! I forget how seriously James's family takes their board games. This was probably the most fun time I've had playing Clue. We loved having our family visit and loved the memories we made! Thanks for taking time to come see us, guys!
