"Wherefore, be of good cheer, and do not fear, for I the Lord am with you, and will stand by you; and ye shall bear record of me, even Jesus Christ, that I am the Son of the living God, that I was, that I am, and that I am to come."

Malt-O-Meal Brownies

Here is the requested recipe referred to in this post:

1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 square (1 oz) semi-sweet baking chocolate (I substituted this for 1 T shortening and 3 T cocoa powder. It adds to the health factor referred to in the post mentioned above.)
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup Chocolate flavored Malt-O-Meal hot wheat cereal, dry
2 eggs
1 tsp vailla
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate baking chips

Preheat oven to 350*F. In a 2-quart saucepan, melt butter and chocolate over medium heat, stirring occasionally (3 to 4 minutes). Add remaining ingredients; stir to blend. Pour into 9-inch square baking pan. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Cool completely; cut into bars. Brownies can be frozen and eaten directly from the freezer.

Yield: 18 brownies

I haven't tried them frozen yet, but that sounds like a great addition to my freezer meal blog. I'll experiment and report back!
